A Guide To Roleplay
1.) Basics of Roleplay

Before you can you Roleplay you must know the basics on what it means and
what OOC/IC is. Roleplaying is when you act out the role of a character and act as how they would in real life.

OOC (Out of Character) - OOC is the communication, actions, or knowledge outside of Roleplay. OOC should never be mixed with IC. If you know someone is a gundealer from them saying so in OOC Chat and you ask for guns IC later after, that is mixing OOC/IC and is against the rules.

IC (In Character) - In Character is the actions you make or to communicate while roleplaying. It is information or knowledge that you encounter will roleplaying.

2.) Your Character

Before you start playing you have to come up with a RP name, Firstname_Lastname before you can start playing. After that is done the next step is to come up with your characters personality and features like
Where he came from? What is his background? Is he is funny or serious?

An example of a Character could be...

Quote:
Name: John_Corrao
Age: 28
Attitude/Personality: He is a very hardworking man who always takes his tacks seriously. He loves his job driving his taxi all around town helping others get to where they need to go and would not want to have any other job. Not the most outgoing guy, but is very friendly with others.
Job: Taxi Driver
Location: Los Santos

3.) Metagaming

Metagaming is using OOC knowledge IC. Many people Metagame without seeing it. Many gangs or mafias have colors on there Names, most people
use the information to make a judgement about the other person without accually finding it out IC. Another example is to call someone by there name without accually meeting the person.

Everyone IRL doesn't know another person's name unless they have met the other person or know who they are. They don't look above there head and say there name.

If you are chasing someone in a car or on foot, it is metagaming to follow there image on the map. You can only continue to follow them if you can accually see them.

Metagaming is against the rules

4.) Proper Roleplay

When talking to someone while Roleplaying you should always use Proper grammar, capitalization, and speak properly. Not all people can speak fluent english and that is the result of people with inexperience or just learning the language. In Real Life it is possible to encounter with a foreign speaking person. It causes confusion alot because both sides can't understand each other.

IC = Only English can be spoken

OOC = All Languages can be spoken

Using abbreviations like wtf, lol, rofl, etc can NOT be used IC and only OOC. Also, smilies must be used in OOC also.

Example:

John_Corrao: (( xD ))
John_Corrao: (( lol ))
